New from Anchorage: Golang Library for Programmatic Tezos Interactions

Here at Anchorage, we believe a thriving developer community is crucial to the success of any digital asset, and to the digital asset economy as a whole. That’s why we’re excited to share our first open source library, to help any developers seeking to programmatically interact with Tezos transactions in Go, or looking to create parallel implementations in other languages:

https://github.com/anchorageoss/tezosprotocol

We created this library out of necessity. Anchorage’s smart storage architecture requires a comprehensive understanding of the underlying network protocols of all the digital assets we support. In developing support for Tezos custody and delegation, we experienced firsthand the need for a way to interact with Tezos in Go. Our library enables the offline signing, parsing, and encoding of Tezos transactions.

“Anchorage’s open source library will not only make work easier for teams already developing on the Tezos platform, but also help to broaden the Tezos developer community itself.”

— Alison Mangiero, President, TQ Tezos

Anchorage will maintain the functionality of this project through the Babylon upgrade and the others that follow it. We are committed to ensuring that all our asset-specific projects are useful and reliable through ongoing protocol changes.

This is the first of what we hope will become many open source projects that originate from the Anchorage engineering team. We are happy to be supporting the growing Tezos developer community with this library, and look forward to releasing additional projects related to Tezos and other assets we support.

If you’re an engineer interested in learning more about the work we do here at Anchorage, we’d love to talk. Check out our careers page or drop us a note at contact@anchorage.com.
